All of us at n~motion would like to extend a special thank you to Ellen Stoune for gifting us her creation, the painting that became our branding image for the studio, our website, and all social media.
It all started with our desire to hang Ellen's creative expression on our n~motion studio wall. We wanted to showcase it to reflect the creativity and beauty that we-the n~motion board-saw in it.
Ellen Stoune is a talented, multimedia artist and friend that lives in Rock Hill, SC. She graciously passed on her "baby", her creation to us at n~motion and for that, we are grateful!
Each one of us interpreted the rendering through our own lens, yet all of us saw common elements that drew us to it originally: Linear and circular lines representing yin and yang, the feminine and masculine in each of us. Stability and strength in the grays and gentleness, softness in the yellows. The small gray splash touching the yellow circle, representing the freedom to stand out, to be different, and yet be a part of the whole. Circles representing community and equality and finally playfulness of color and paint strokes.
All of our interpretations reflect our intent for the studio and our class offerings are aligned with the same.
